About LBOB

The Lake Braddock Orchestra Boosters, Inc.(LBOB) is a non-profit public charity (501(c)(3) incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
LBOB’s mission is to enhance the musical experience of the students who participate in the orchestra, as well as to assist the Orchestra Directors, and to promote interest and support in the local community for the orchestra program.

The Lake Braddock Orchestra Program currently is comprised of seven orchestras involving 300 middle and high school students: Beginning, Middle and High School Concert, Middle and High School String Ensemble, Chamber, and Symphony orchestra.

Minutes of the Lake Braddock Orchestra booster meetings are available on request.
–  Requests for meeting minutes should be sent via email to the booster club Secretary.

Leadership

Board Executive Officers:

  • President JAMES DON
    Run LBOB monthly Board Meetings; coordinator between Directors and LBOB; work with Vice President to oversee Committees, Fundraising and Social Events.

  • Vice President ZAHRA SAFAVIAN
    Coordinate Concerts with Directors, MS and HS Representatives; oversee volunteers needed for Concerts; work with President to oversee Committees, Fundraising and Social Events; Assist President as needed.

  • Secretary ANNETTE BARGER
    Take minutes at monthly Board meetings, write up and distribute to Board and Committees

  • Treasurer JACKIE LI
    Maintain financial books; collect and deposit any money received, write checks as needed; work with Directors and LBOB to allocate funds.

  • Ways & Means Coordinator MARIA CHO
    Oversee Fundraising Activities; coordinate with Directors and LBOB; assist Fundraising Activity Chairs with events.

  • Membership Coordinator KIRSTEN PUGH WALKER
    Coordinate with Directors and LBOB to update LBOB membership form as needed; Collect membership forms and money; keep membership database; assist at membership table for concerts and Bruin Blast.

  • Volunteer Coordinator ROGER HUGHLETT
    Work with Board, Committees and Event Chairs and Directors to recruit volunteers Communication Coordinators.

Non-Voting Leaders

  • Spiritwear Coordinator CAROLINE & DANIEL SHAVER
    Coordinate new spiritwear design (Aug.); coordinate with spiritwear vendors and place orders; Bruin Blast, MS and HS Concerts.

  • Photography Coordinator SONIA DELL’OMO

    Takes pictures throughout year of concerts, social events, and fundraisers for students/parents to
    purchase; coordinates with Publicity & Website Coordinator to post current photos on orchestra website

  • Flower Sales Coordinator MRS. THAO NGUYEN (TULIP LE)
    Price out and purchase flowers to sell, organize set-up/clean-up of sales table and direct volunteers at all MS and HS concerts.

  • Social Media Coordinator ROGER HUGHLETT
    Coordinates with Directors, Website Coordinator and Board to maintains and update LBOB social media accounts regularly 

  • Website Coordinator ZAHRA SAFAVIAN
    Coordinates with Directors, Social Media Coordinator and Board to maintains and update LBOB website as needed
